Home Study Complete

Well, our home study is complete.  We were nervous for the big day!!  I took off of work and scrubbed the entire house!  I even made homeade strawberry bread and fresh fruit!  I had no idea what to expect, but when she came in she made us feel right at ease.  The questions didn't seem very invasive, they were very similar to the ones that we had to feel out on our adoption questionairre.  She gave us a lot of good questions to think about.  She also told us to post on facebook that we are adopting.  Well, so far we have only told close friends, but we were like why not announce that we are adopting now!  The social worker said that you never know someone that knows someone that may be looking for an adoptive couple.  Also, we are trying to get our Birthmother Letter ready.  This letter will be posted on IHeartAdoption.com, and the letters will get sent to women who are looking to possibly place their child.  We were told that we will have to rewrite it several times, and the woman said she couldn't give us our first feedback until May 8th!  That is two weeks away!!!  What could be more important than to get my first draft back to me!!!  :)  I am trying to be patient!!!  We started this process at the beginning of February, and I thought that in three months we would done and on the books!!! I've done everything as told, and it will be longer than three months!!  Also out of 150 pictures only 8 were approved.  We were told that we were too posed!!  My friend told me that she would just follow me around like the pauparazzi (sp?)  - that got me to laugh!!!  I know that God already has the child He wants in our lives in mind!  I just have to let things work in his time, and not lean on my own understanding!
